# Ask VX

> Ask VX is a free AI file assistant for Android by Shark Studios. You ask in plain words (typed or spoken, in 19 languages including Hindi and Hinglish) and it finds any file or document on the phone, even by what is written inside photos and PDFs, and gets the job done: send it to a contact, share, zip, move, convert or compress it, or free up space. Unlike general assistants (Google Assistant, Gemini, Siri), it works on the phone's own files. Its AI runs on the phone; files are never uploaded. It also sets alarms, timers and reminders, opens apps, gives directions and plays music.

## FAQ

### What is Ask VX?
Ask VX is a free AI file manager for Android by Shark Studios. You type or say what you want in plain words, such as “find my passport”, “WhatsApp videos over 100 MB” or “free up 2 GB”, and it finds, opens, shares or cleans up the files on your phone, SD card or USB drive. Its AI runs on the phone.

### Is there an AI file manager that works offline on Android?
Yes. Ask VX searches and manages files without the internet. Its optional VX AI (about 120 MB, downloaded once) runs entirely on the phone, so even searching inside photos and PDFs works offline.

### How do I find a file on Android by what is inside it?
Install Ask VX and turn on VX AI. It reads the text in photos, screenshots and PDFs (including Hindi) and what photos show, on your phone, so “find my Aadhaar” or “screenshot of the bank transfer” finds the right file even when its name is IMG_2041.jpg.

### Does Ask VX upload my files or questions?
No. Your files, the search index, the AI and your questions stay on your phone. Ask VX has no account or login. Only anonymous crash reports (which you can turn off) and Google services described in the privacy policy use the network.

### Can Ask VX send a file or message to a contact on WhatsApp?
Yes. Say “send my resume to Ashish on WhatsApp” or “message mom that I’m late”. Ask VX finds the contact on your phone and opens WhatsApp, Messages or the dialer with everything filled in. You tap Send yourself; it never sends on its own.

### Which languages does Ask VX understand?
English, Hindi and Hinglish fully, plus Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Urdu, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Thai (19 app languages).

### Can Ask VX free up storage space?
Yes. Ask “free up 2 GB” and it suggests safe groups such as old WhatsApp videos, duplicates and large files, with a confirmation. A storage analyzer, large-file list and duplicate finder (compared by content) are built in, and deleted files stay in a 30-day trash.

### Is Ask VX free?
Yes, Ask VX is free on Google Play. The optional VX AI Pro and Pro Max levels are also free downloads; each shows its size, memory, speed and battery use before you choose it.
