What Ask VX does
Ask in plain words
Type or say what you need, in English, Hindi, Hinglish and 16 more languages. Ask VX understands sizes, dates, places like WhatsApp or Downloads, and actions like free up, zip, move or convert, and confirms before changing anything.
Search inside photos & PDFs
Optional on-device VX AI reads the text in photos, screenshots and PDFs and what photos show. “Find my passport” works even when the file is IMG_2041.jpg. Nothing is uploaded.
Send, call & share
“Send my resume to Ashish on WhatsApp”, “message mom that I’m late”, “call papa”: Ask VX finds the contact and opens WhatsApp, Messages or the dialer, ready. You tap Send. Quick Share sends to a phone nearby.
Also handy
Alarms, timers and reminders (“wake me at 6:30”, “remind me to call mom at 5”), open any app, get directions, play music. Ask VX hands each job to your phone’s own clock, calendar, maps or music app.
Ask about your phone
Battery, memory and storage at a glance, tips to make your battery last longer, and which apps take the most space, sit unused, or use the most screen time and data.
Free up space
Storage analyzer, large files, duplicate finder (by content) and “free up 2 GB” suggestions. Deleted files wait 30 days in the trash, with Undo.
A complete file manager
Copy, move, rename and share across internal storage, SD cards and USB drives. ZIP, TAR and GZ archives. Big jobs keep running in the background.
VX AI Pro, on device
Optional Pro and Pro Max levels write summaries and answers from your documents on the phone. Each level shows its download, memory, speed and battery use first.
Always one tap away
Home-screen widgets, a Quick Settings tile, long-press home to talk, and optional hands-free “Hey VX” heard only on your phone.

Questions
What is Ask VX?
Ask VX is a free AI file assistant for Android by Shark Studios. Your phone is full of photos, PDFs, WhatsApp files and documents; you ask in plain words, such as “find my Aadhaar”, “send my resume to Ashish on WhatsApp” or “free up 2 GB”, and it finds the file and does the job. Its AI runs on the phone.
How is Ask VX different from Google Assistant, Gemini or Siri?
General assistants can't search or act on the files on your phone. Ask VX is built for them: it finds documents by what's written inside photos and PDFs, sends them to a contact, shares, zips, converts or deletes them, and frees up storage, all on your phone and offline.
Is there an AI file manager that works offline on Android?
Yes. Ask VX searches and manages files without the internet. Its optional VX AI (about 120 MB, downloaded once) runs entirely on the phone, so even searching inside photos and PDFs works offline.
How do I find a file on Android by what is inside it?
Install Ask VX and turn on VX AI. It reads the text in photos, screenshots and PDFs (including Hindi) and what photos show, on your phone, so “find my Aadhaar” or “screenshot of the bank transfer” finds the right file even when its name is IMG_2041.jpg.
Does Ask VX upload my files or questions?
No. Your files, the search index, the AI and your questions stay on your phone. Ask VX has no account or login. Only anonymous crash reports (which you can turn off) and Google services described in the privacy policy use the network.
Can Ask VX send a file or message to a contact on WhatsApp?
Yes. Say “send my resume to Ashish on WhatsApp” or “message mom that I’m late”. Ask VX finds the contact on your phone and opens WhatsApp, Messages or the dialer with everything filled in. You tap Send yourself; it never sends on its own.
Can Ask VX set alarms, timers and reminders?
Yes. Say “wake me at 6:30”, “set a 10 minute timer” or “remind me to call mom at 5 pm” (also in Hindi and Hinglish, like “6 baje ka alarm lagao”). Ask VX hands it to your phone’s clock or calendar app. It can also open any app, give directions and play music.
Which languages does Ask VX understand?
English, Hindi and Hinglish fully, plus Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Urdu, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Thai (19 app languages).
Can Ask VX free up storage space?
Yes. Ask “free up 2 GB” and it suggests safe groups such as old WhatsApp videos, duplicates and large files, with a confirmation. A storage analyzer, large-file list and duplicate finder (compared by content) are built in, and deleted files stay in a 30-day trash.
Is Ask VX free?
Yes, Ask VX is free on Google Play. The optional VX AI Pro and Pro Max levels are also free downloads; each shows its size, memory, speed and battery use before you choose it.
